Automatic Rotary Evaporator

An automatic rotary evaporator is a laboratory instrument used to efficiently evaporate solvents and concentrate solutions under vacuum. It consists of a rotating evaporation flask, a heating bath, a condenser, and a vacuum pump. The evaporation flask is rotated to increase the surface area of the solution and to promote evaporation. The heating bath is used to maintain the solution at a constant temperature. The condenser is used to cool and condense the solvent vapors, which are then collected in a receiving flask. The vacuum pump is used to create a vacuum in the system, which lowers the boiling point of the solvent and allows it to evaporate at a lower temperature.
