Hematology Analyzers count and size red cells, white cells and platelets to produce a complete blood count from a single whole blood sample. Impedance counting measures red cells and platelets, colorimetric reading gives hemoglobin, and laser scatter separates white cells into 3-part or 5-part differentials, reporting 22 to 28 parameters per run. Sample volumes of 10 to 15 uL whole blood or 20 uL prediluted suit paediatric and capillary draws, with throughput of 60 samples per hour on Automatic Hematology Analyzers. Selected models offer HL7 LIS connectivity, and Veterinary Hematology Analyzers carry species-specific settings. Typical users include hospitals, diagnostic labs, health centers and veterinary practices, often alongside an ESR Analyser for inflammation screening.
