Grain Analyzers measure moisture, protein, starch, oil, fat and gluten in cereals and oilseeds using near-infrared spectroscopy across 900 to 1700 nm, reading how grain absorbs specific wavelengths of light. A MEMS micro-mirror grating with an InGaAs detector performs non-contact analysis of a sample disk, returning multi-parameter results in 3 minutes or less. Automatic calibration reduces manual adjustment, and continuous 24-hour operation suits busy intake points. Supported grains include wheat, rice, corn, barley, sorghum, soybean and rapeseed. Typical uses include grain procurement, seed production, animal feed production and agricultural quality control labs.
