Thermal Conductivity Testers measure how readily heat flows through a material, reporting thermal conductivity in W/mK along with thermal resistance and diffusivity, the values that decide how well a material insulates or spreads heat. A known heat input is applied to the sample and the resulting temperature rise is tracked over time, giving results across a broad range that covers both insulating foams and conductive metals. Solids and liquids can be tested, including metals, ceramics, polymers, composites and foams. Typical uses include insulation testing, battery and electronics thermal management, heat exchanger design and polymer research.
