Powder Flowability Testers show how freely a powder will move through hoppers, feeders and tablet dies, which decides whether a formulation runs smoothly or bridges, rat-holes and segregates. The tester builds a cone of powder on a 100 mm disc to read angle of repose, and measures bulk and tapped density, from which Carr index and Hausner ratio are calculated, along with cohesion and flow function under applied force. Stainless steel construction cleans easily between samples and resists abrasive materials.
