Pipettes and Pipettors transfer measured liquid volumes by air displacement, with a piston drawing sample into a disposable tip so the instrument never touches the liquid. Variable volume single channel models span 0.1 uL to 10 mL across eleven ranges, with accuracy within 0.6% and precision of 0.15% at full volume on the 200 uL class. Eight and twelve channel pipettes fill 96-well plates at 0.5 to 1000 uL per channel. Fully autoclavable bodies allow steam sterilisation, fixed volume models suit repeated dosing, and electronic controllers and pumps handle serological pipettes. Typical uses include PCR setup, ELISA, cell culture and sample dilution in molecular and clinical labs.
