Laboratory Hot Plates and Stirrers heat, mix or do both at once, using a magnetic drive to spin a stir bar inside the vessel while the plate warms the contents. The range covers plain hotplates, magnetic stirrers without heating, combined hotplate magnetic stirrers with LED or LCD control, graphite hot plates and tissue hot plates. Heating reaches 500 degrees C on top models, stirring runs from 50 to 2500 rpm, and vessel capacities extend from 20 ml to 20 L. Ceramic coated aluminium plates resist chemical attack, with timers and overheat cut-offs on selected units. Typical uses include reagent dissolution, media and buffer preparation, reflux, crystallization and reaction kinetics.
