Biological Safety Cabinet Class III is used for work with high-risk biological agents, with the operator kept apart from the work area. Gloves are attached at the glove ports, and a front window gives the operator a view of the work area. Incoming air passes through a HEPA filter, and exhaust air passes through two ULPA filters. The range has two sizes, 60 inches and 70 inches, each for a single user. Both models list the same filter arrangement. A UV lamp is listed among the features. Class III is the most enclosed of the biosafety cabinet classes. High-risk labs, vaccine developers and research groups handling infectious agents use these cabinets.
